The "Innovations in Education Shopping Mall" will be built in the new exhibition center at Crown Center. Accessible to parents, teachers, students and exhibitors alike, it will showcase the latest tools, books, curriculums and future technologies. A number of smaller, vendor-sponsored seminars will be made available for scholars and leaders in specific areas of interest: history, geography, athletics, mathematics, science, languages, etc. These specialized meetings will probe and impact contemporary tactics for K-12 student learning. Symposiums such as "Cognitive and Metacognitive Understanding" will be debated by the congress' many multi-cultural panelists. For many of our attendees, this will be their first access to this type of opportunity.
An international competition will be launched as a platform for the recognition of academic excellence and achievement. Under the working title "Head GamesTM," we anticipate establishing a model in North America for a true tournament in standards-based competition. The ultimate result will be the world-wide expansion of popular mental challenges that make vying for valedictorian on par with rooting for the home team, or quoting math stats as socially relevant as memorizing sports stats. Through this education-based Olympics, a new category of heroes will emerge in the yearly race for the final four "Head GamesTM" valedictorians.
Parentica International'sTM commitment to the arts, including theater, visual, applied and musical, will help to create an environment of fun and learning. "The Parentica International CongressTM Art Exhibit" will launch the North American student competition and will eventually evolve into international opportunities for budding artists to present their work to their peers and receive feedback from renowned experts.
